A better approach would be how many characters into the file. If you try to read the same book on a large laptop or desktop machine and tablets/phones the pages will be all different sizes. I believe a page number is stored in DropBox in the file. If my understanding is correct, the bookmark feature is implemented too simply. Seems like it shouldn't be that difficult once the reader opens the book to seek in the file someplace at least close to where the reader left off. I started reading a book on my 17" Laptop PC and trying to continue reading on my 7" tablet was a chore in hitting the next page button until I recognized my place in the story. Then each platform could do the math to figure which page to display. I would not want the book sent back to dropbox as i'ts already there in a copy of my calibre library! Maybe I missed an option though - I will re check next time I am using it. Works fine but I manually have to put the book onto both devices

After messing around with GDrive I just copied the Calibre Library over a USB cable on each device to get things working.Īny help with syncing would be appreciated.įor me the sync to cloud does NOT back up the book, it only sends last page read & annotations etc to dropbox, not the book.

I have Marshmallow on my phone and Lollipop on my RCA tablet. But it would be nice if I could set it up to remember my bookmark when I open the same book either on my phone or tablet. If I have to run Calibre server or manually copy the Caliber Library onto the devices that is no big deal. I can get it to view the files on GDrive, but I see no Button or other setting to sync the reading position never mind files. I forget.)īut anyway, now there is no Misc Options setting to go into. When asking how to sync Moon+ Reader Pro across android devices using GDrive or DropBox the answer has been to go into Misc Options and press Sync, then choose either GDrive or DropBox(or hit the gear next to one of them first. It seems Moon+ Reader Pro has changed its settings and even the FAQ on their site has not been updated.
